Mercenary NFTs provide passive earning potential. Mercenaries cannot be used as in-game characters and therefore do not provide an in-game earnings boost as Hero NFTs do.

Mercenary NFT utility includes:

• Mercenary quests: Like Heroes, Mercenaries can be sent on quests (staked) to earn $GHD and resources. Mercenary quests will have various class/level requirements, party composition prerequisites, reward multipliers and lengths. They generally earn at a lesser rate than Hero quests.

• Keep earning and defense: In addition to being sent on a quest, Mercenaries can be stationed at the player's Keep, which will provide a bonus to $GHD or resource accrual as well as affect Keep defense success.

• Fusion: Mercenaries of the same class tier can be fused to create one Mercenary of a higher class tier. For example, two Warriors (class tier 1) can be fused to create a Knight (class tier 2).
